Easter Festivities in Elgin County

It is no surprise that I love Easter so after doing a search looking for all the Easter festivities I could find locally I thought I would help make everyone's search a lot easier by listing what I found to do local on Easter.

• Location: Pinafore Park, Main pavilion
• When: Saturday, April 7, 2012
• Time: 10:0oam to 1:00pm
• Cost: FREE!!!
• What: There will be over 400lbs of chocolate foil wrapped eggs scattered throughout the park for children up to age 12, along with 32 plastic prize eggs. The children are divided into various age groups and gather eggs from their areas assigned. There will be FREE face painting!! Hotdogs, juice, coffee and hot chocolate are available for $1.

EASTER EGG HUNT TRAIN RIDES ON THE PSTR

• Location:Port Stanley Terminal Rail, 309 Bridge Street, Port Stanley
• When: Fri Apr 6th, Sat Apr 7th and Sun Apr 8th
• Times: Trains depart at 11am, 1pm and 2:30pm 
• Cost: Adults $13.50, Children (2-12) $9
• What: Although the bunny doesn't speak much, he is very friendly and has lost some eggs along the stain grounds at Union. Children and adults will enjoy the railway version of this popular tradition.

THE EASTER BUNNY VISITS SPARTA

• Location: side room of the Sparta House Tea Room (side room), Main Street, Sparta
• When: Saturday April 7th
• Time: 11:00am to 3:00pm
• Cost: FREE!
• What: Have a free picture taken with the Easter Bunny. Donations to Caring Cupboard greatly appreciated. Enjoy an Easter Egg hunt at all the participating businesses.

RODNEY EASTER EGG HUNT

• Location:Rodney Park, 135 Queen Street, Rodney
• When: Saturday April 7th
• Time: 10:00am 
• Cost: FREE!
• What: The Kiwanis Club of Rodney sponsors this annual Easter Egg Hunt with 3 ages groups, special prizes and a participation prize for all.

WEST LORNE EASTER EGG HUNT

• Location:First West Lorne Scout Hall, 142 Chestnut St, West Lorne
• When: Saturday April 7th
• Time: 1:00pm
• Cost: FREE!
• What: Sponsored by the Optimist Club of West Lorne.
