McHappy Day 2012 is coming on May 2, 2012
She was only 8 days old and admitted to Children's Hospital in London, Ontario. We brought her to the hospital to be assessed due to her shaking all the time. Which of course turned out to be seizures. While in triage she suffered a seizure and she was rushed away while we were pushed out of the room so that all the doctors and nurses could figure out why our little girl was having seizures.
She remained in the hospital for weeks while they tried different medications to get her seizures under control. While in the hospital my precious daughter was diagnosed with FASD (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder) and failure to thrive. This precious little girl was going to have a long road ahead of her. Along the road we have been back and forth to Children's Hospital for her Paediatric Nurologist, Paediatric Gastrologist and different developmental appointments along the way. We have received nothing but compassion and love from everyone we have come in contact with there.
