Tip of the Week ~ Tea Tip

You are in the middle of your day looking for a break from your work so you plug in the kettle and boil some water to enjoy a tea. The kettle is whistling and you put a bag in your favourite tea cup with the boiling water. You walk away as it steeps to get a few other things done. By the time you get back you notice the tea is very dark and it has a bit of a bitter taste to it. Well do I have a tip for you!

I learned this trick a long time ago and that is to put a bit of baking soda in your tea to take the bitterness out of the tea so that you don't waste the tea you just brewed. And bit a bit I mean like a pinch. It really doesn't take much to take the bitterness out of the tea and trust me you can't taste it. Well you might be able to taste it if you put to much baking soda in but that is why you need to watch how much you put into your tea.

I really did think this was common knowledge but learned at a focus group this week that is really isn't common knowledge so I let them know I would definitely be blogging about it this week. So that is my tip of the week.
