First Date, Krista McGee
My thoughts ~
This book was definitely a fun and light read but then again this is why I choose to read this Christian Young Adult book. The fact that this book is a reality show was a bit strange. I did appreciate that they brought faith into this book but some of the discussions seemed a tad forced and not natural at all.

I like that the fact that their was a connection between Addy and Jonathon but they do not act inappropriately on their feelings.

The plot of the book was to kill the president and kidnap his son. This plot was so unreal that is made little sense and it just took the book a little to far in my opinion.

There were many unrealistic parts to this book and as far as recommending this book I can not really do that in good conscience.

About the Book ~
Addy Davidson's quiet life is now not so quiet-she has been selected out of thousands of girls to be a on a new reality television show, all vying to be the President's son, Jonathan Jackson's prom date. Addy doesn't want the limelight, the makeup, or any special attention, and even tells Jonathan that she should be the first one sent home. But Addy soon discovers that despite her misgivings, God has a special reason for her being on the show. With mishaps and embarrassing moments, Addy endears herself to the American public-and maybe even finds a place in Jonathan Jackson's heart.
