Sons Of Anarchy - RIP Harry "Opie" Winston
Do you ever get into some of the TV shows you watch? The shows that move you like nothing else you have watched and keep your attention on a weekly basis. For a lot of people Sons of Anarchy is one of those shows. It has almost been a year since the episode aired that rocked the world of many or should I even dare to say most Sons of Anarchy fans.It was in episode 3 where the creators of Sons of Anarchy ended the life of one of its major characters Opie. You could see and sense the downhill spiral of the Opie as the show came into Season 5. With his marriage on the rocks and his separation from SAMCRO, Opie's life was definitely out of control. But would I have predicted some a gruesome end to this man, this was hard for me to even comprehend. I will spare you the details of his death because you can watch it for yourself when Son's of Anarchy comes to DVD and Blu-ray on August 27th.
From the press release:
From creator Kurt Sutter comes the adrenaline-charged Sons of Anarchy, featuring extended episodes and kicking into high gear with its biggest, most explosive season ever! As SAMCRO’s new president, Jax is surrounded by ruthless enemies and gut-wrenching betrayal. With Gemma fighting for control of the family and a bloodthirsty Clay out for revenge, Jax finds himself haunted by the sins of his past. Alliances are forged, friends are murdered, and loyalties are put to the ultimate test. Now, with the truth in sight, Jax must do whatever it takes to secure the legacy of brotherhood and protect his family — even if it costs him everything.
Each season, Sons of Anarchy provides the audience with a look into SAMCRO and the members of the club. We witness the love, betrayal, and friendships between the son and we grow attached to certain characters. None was more beloved than Ryan Hurst’s Opie Winston. He was a family man who loved his wife Donna and their children. He loved his late father Piney and respected his mother – though they had their differences. In season 5, Opie sacrifices his life out of devotion to the club.
“Sons of Anarchy: Season Five” debuts on Blu-ray and DVD on August 27 from 20th Century Fox.
