2014 Word of the Year...

I really wasn't sure what my word of the year would be for this year because my mind has been so all over the place. I set out at the beginning of December praying for direction in choosing my word of the year. Last years word came to me so easily but this year was a bit of a struggle with about three words coming to me until I got some clarity on just one word.

Last year my word was EMBRACE and that is what I did all year. I moved forwarding every day embracing what came my way the good and the bad and sometimes even the ugly. This was an easy task since I truly believe that everything does happen for a reason even if that reason is not revealed to us for a while.

Twenty-Thirteen brought a year of many changes and near death experiences that I do not want to go through again. It was a trying year with way to many hospital appointments and medication after medication for my dear daughter. It was a journey to help her get into remission so that she could continue you. After a year of so much going on you would think it would be easy to pick my word of the year.

While I was trying to choose between the words rustling around in my head - trust me there were many here are a few that stood out to me:

Celebrate - I need to continue to celebrate the here and now. Knowing that life here on earth can be fleeting I want to live in the moment of hear and now.

Gentle - I have had quite a year it was jammed packed with every emotion and very draining at times dealing with all the medical professionals. My body is telling me that I need some more TLC.

Soar - I want to continue to rise and soar with little effort.  To ascend suddenly above the normal.

and the one that stood out the most and kind of encompasses all of the above words is the one I have chosen for the year.

Bliss is an inner peace, perfect happiness and great joy.

I definitely could use a break from all the hard times and a little more bliss!

“If you do follow your bliss, you put yourself on a kind of track that has been there all the while, waiting for you, and the life that you ought to be living is the one you are living. When you can see that, you begin to meet people who are in your field of bliss, and they open doors to you. I say, follow your bliss and don’t be afraid, and doors will open where you didn’t know they were going to be.” ~ Joseph Campbell
