Today in my kitchen I am cooking Caramel Apple Pork Chops. I like to mix up my meals with different flavours in the kitchen.. This recipe is one of my go to recipes for cooking made easy with ingredients I have on hand already.

Caramel Apple Pork Chops - Printable Version

2 Pork Chops (your choice of cut)
1 tsp Oil
2 Tbsp Brown Sugar
1/8 tsp Cinnamon
1/8 tsp Nutmeg
2 Tbsp Butter/Margarine
2 Apples (peeled, cored and sliced)

1 - Heat a large skillet. Add oil and place pork chops in a hot pan. Cook for 5 to 6 minutes turning occassionally. Remove pork chops from skillet.
2 - Combine brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg in a small bowl. Add butter to skillet and stir in brown sugar mixture and apples. Cover and cook until apples are tender.
3 - Add Pork Chops back into skillet cover and let simmer until sauce has thickened.
4 - When serving remember to serve with apple slices and sauce over the pork chops.

Do you have a favourite meal that you cook because you always know you have the ingredients on hand? I would love to know what it is.
