Families today are a kaleidoscope of possibilities and our family is no exception to that rule. We are anything but your traditional nuclear family. I am a work at home homeschooling mom of 4 children by both birth and adoption. As well as the addition of some of my children's friends over the years. I wouldn't change my family for anything in the world.

Come to think of it has the nuclear family really changed that much. I know growing up I guess I lived in more of a traditional family with my mom and dad and my older brother but my family also included dear friends and their children who we spent a lot of time with us. I honestly think that now we are just more verbal about it. I know if you were adopted you never spoke of it but now I hear more and more about children being adopted and not hiding it away like it is something shameful.

My oldest daughter was thrilled to hear that Full House was coming to Netflix because just knew that our youngest daughter would love the show as much as she did. Seeing a non-traditional family like the Tanners on TV back in 1987 was not the norm. We enjoyed watching the Tanners navigate through life with their Uncle Jesse and Aunt Becky and you can't leave out Joey. Their family seemed to work quite well.

Check out some of the other great family features on Netflix. Here are some titles to get you started.

1. Alvin and the Chipmunks Meet the Wolfman
2. Mr. Peabody & Sherman
3. Despicable Me
4. Kung Fu Panda
5. Full House
6. Yours Mine and Ours

1. Fresh Prince of Bel Air
2. Wolfblood
3. The Addams Family
4. Raising Hope
5. Gilmore Girls
6. Party of Five
