I am a member of the Netflix #StreamTeam and receive perks in exchange for monthly posts. As always all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.

Part of our Christmas tradition is baking cookies together as a family. I try to do our family favourites as well as through in a new recipe or two. This year we will be making our favourite Twinkle cookies. And this year we are sharing the recipe with all of you.

Shaylin loves to get into the kitchen to help me bake no matter what I am making. I will admit that cookies are one of her favourite things to make because she gets to taste test them. I know many people make these cookies and have a different name for them but in our family they have always been known as Twinkle Cookies.

Twinkle No Bake Cookies

Twinkle Cookies

In a Bowl Mix:
3 Cups Oatmeal
1 Cup Shredded Coconut

In a Saucepan Combine:
1/2 Cup Butter
1/2 Cup Milk
2 Cup Sugar, white
4 TBSP Cocoa

Heat contents of saucepan until it comes to a boil. Add a dash of salt. Once heated and combined pour over the mixture in the bowl and mix thoroughly.

Drop onto cookie sheet with a teaspoon and refrigerate.

There is no better a way to enjoy the Twinkle Cookies then while watching a Christmas movie with your family. Netflix Canada has some great shows for the month of December that brings the joys of the holiday season into your home.

I know for our family we love to watch How the Grinch Stole Christmas starring Jim Carrey. It reminds us what Christmas is all about while entertaining us at the same time.
