Blissful Streaming: The Key to a Happy Relationship #StreamTeamGoing out for date night?!?!?! Really is that a thing anymore. When I think of date night I think of turning on Netflix and deciding on what movie to watch while cuddled up on the couch with my husband and dog in between us. Yes, we have to share the couch with our dog. Yes we do live very frugally and try no to spend money on unnecessary items but if we really wanted to we would find a way to go out alone on a date for the night.
The point is staying in and enjoying a movie on Netflix on a Friday or Saturday night is just something we prefer to do. We don't have to worry about our 11-year-old going to bed on time. We can eat snacks we have made special for the night. If we want to be in our jammies to relax for the evening we can do that also. There are perks with having date night at home.
Did you realize that staying in is the New Date Night. Six in ten (58%) respondents in a relationship say they prefer to stay in and watch Netflix for date night. Most (77%) say they watch Netflix together because they like spending time together without leaving the house while seven in ten (68%) say shows are more fun when watched together, and 58% enjoy having someone to talk with about the show - the ultimate bonding experience! I know that is case at my house.
