Smoothies are definitely a go to in our house anytime during the day. I had never head of Smoothie Bowls until I received this book to review. The first thing I noticed that was different than a traditional smoothie was that it was a bit thicker and could be eaten with a spoon very easily. 

I quickly spotted a Peanut Butter Cup Recipe and I love everything with Peanut Butter in it so I just had to get out my Vitamix and give this a try. You do not have to have a Vitamix blender to try this any blender will do.

This smoothie bowl recipe is just divine! It is like dessert in a bowl but so good for you, you can have it for breakfast. Depending on the toppings you put on it of course. 



Peanut Butter Cup

Ingredients 

1/4 cup sweetened vanilla-flavored almond milk
2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
1 frozen banana, cut into pieces if necessary
1/2 cup peanut butter
4 ice cubes


Suggested Toppings
Unsweetened cocoa powder
Sliced banana
Mini chocolate chips

Instructions:
1. In a blender, combine almond milk, cocoa powder, banana, peanut butter and ice. Secure lid and blend (from low to high if using a variable-speed blender) until smooth.
2. Pour into a bowl or bowls and top with any of the suggested toppings, as desired.
