5 WAYS I SAVED IN JUNE
Month 6 of my mindful spending journey has now ended and I am just as committed to it as I was in January.
Picture Frames
Purchased 4 picture frames for $1 at some garage sales and only had to paint them to match my bedroom.
Painted a Lamp
I painted a lamp I already had to match the new accent colour for our master bedroom.
Ceiling Fan
We saved gas money bonus dollars to be able to get a hugger ceiling fan for our master bedroom because we are trying to limit the use of our air conditioner in our house. It was the wrong colour so we painted it black with spray paint we already had on hand to match everything in our room. This purchase was a huge savings, and will save us even more since we will not be turning on our air conditioning as much.
Eating In
This month we have used our instant pot on very hot days so we wouldn't have to turn to fast food for dinner at all this month. The instant pot has been a life saver for me when it comes to meal prep.
Staycation
This summer we are doing a staycation. We are attending local free festivals and spending time in our own backyard pool instead of going somewhere to get away this summer.
