15 Minute Chicken Teriyaki (video included) #WhatsCookingWednesday
My
days have been crazy! From doctors to doctors appointments running in and out of the city every day gets to be a bit much after a while. But still maintaining our homecooked meals can be a huge chore. That is why menu planning is always the key for me.
I
decided to go to my old stand by meals that my family loves. I love meals that all you
have to do is in the morning pull out your chicken and the rest will
come together quite easily once you are ready to prepare your meal for
the day.
First things first you need to make the Teriyaki Sauce....
15 Minute Chicken Teriyaki
3 tbsp Soy Sauce
2 1/2 tbsp Honey
1/2 tbsp Ketchup or Tomato Paste
1 tbsp Teriyaki Seasoning
Mix together all four ingredients listed above.
Coat strips of chicken in sauce before putting into fry pan.
Add your choice of veggies to the fry pan.
Add rest of sauce to the fry pan over top of veggies.
Cook until done approximately 15 minutes.
Note:
- If you want to thicken the sauce add 1 tbsp cornstarch once you bring the stir fry to a boil.
- We used red peppers, green peppers, celery and onions in our stir fry and served it over white rice.
- I also made a double batch of the teriyaki sauce so that we had enough to cover all our veggies.
