10 BINGE WORTHY SHOWS
ON NETFLIX FOR 2018 #STREAMTEAM
I am a member of the Netflix Stream Team and receive some perks and benefits. As always, all opinions are my own. Dinner is done and I am ready to relax with some television viewing. I always turn to Netflix to binge watch my favourite shows as well as my families favourite shows. I have a long list of shows in My List, so many I often wonder how I am going to find the time to watch them all.
This month I thought I would share with you the shows in our house that we love to watch on a regular basis.
1. One Day at a Time
This series is loosely based on the original series of the same name. Season 2 will be returning with Penelope Alvarez, single Army Nursing Corps veteran, is raising her two children: Elena and Alex with the support of her colorful Cuban mother, Lydia. The show depicts every day struggles a single mom has to go through while being there for everyone in her family.
2. Mako Mermaids
A young man has magically turned into a merman and discovers his underwater origins after he comes in contact with the magic waters at the mysterious Mako Island guarded by a trio of mermaids. My daughter told me I couldn't forget to add this show.
3. Fuller House
With 3 seasons of Fuller House, this has been a favourite in our house since it first came on Netflix. My daughter cannot wait for the series to continue. As a matter of fact, the day that Season 3 part 2 became available it was on my television for the whole day. Thankfully it was released on a snow day. My daughter binge watched the whole series that day.
4. GODLESS
Love westerns? In Godless an event occurs in La Belle, New Mexico that leaves the town with a population of mainly all just woman and children. A gang comes into town and tries to take over. The women of La Belle will not stand for that. Each episode in this mini-series varies from 40 to 80 minutes in length. This show is a real hidden gem in your neflix stream.
5. Rita
Following the life of a very outspoken and rebellious woman, Rita is a school teacher who is competent in the classroom but seems to need a teacher of her own, when it comes to her personal life.
6. Grace and Frankie
Finding out that their husbands are not just work partners, but have also been romantically involved for the last 20 years, two women with an already strained relationship try to cope with the circumstances together.
7. Ozark
A Chicago-based financial advisor secretly relocates his family to the Missouri Ozarks when his dealings with a drug cartel go awry.
8. Riverdale
A subversive take on Archie and his friends, exploring small-town life, the darkness, and weirdness bubbling beneath Riverdale's wholesome facade. Every week there is a new episode to watch in this series.
9. Scandal
A former White House Communications Director starts her own crisis management firm only to realize her clients are not the only ones with secrets. Olivia Pope is the person to call when you get into any kind of trouble. There is no problem too big for Olivia to handle. Every week we get a new episode in the list of Olivia Pope but if you are new to the series you have 7 seasons to catch up on.
10. The Crown
A young Princess Elizabeth marries Prince Philip. As King George VI's health worsens, Winston Churchill is elected Prime Minister for the second time. The Crown follows the political rivalries and romance of Queen Elizabeth II's reign and the events that shaped the second half of the 20th century.
